Answer

First, take a look at the official page for formatting your theses and dissertations.

The university has created thesis and dissertation formatting templates to assist you in ensuring that your document conforms to the AU formatting guidelines.

For questions about theses and dissertations, including assistance with formatting and changing embargoes on ETDs in the AU Research Commons, email: libetdadmin@american.edu.

Questions about the ETD submission process should be directed to the ETD reviewers in the schools and colleges. Their names and contact information can be found here: http://www.american.edu/provost/grad/etd/submission.cfm

In addition, students with questions about formatting in MS Word or the MS Word template can request assistance by emailing libetdadmin@american.edu.

Students should review the AU Electronic Thesis and Dissertation Submission Style Guide and attempt to format their document before contacting the GRC staff for assistance.
