Answer

The Library has a Popular Reading section on the first floor which includes recent releases arranged in alphabetical order by authors' last name.  Works of fiction in the regular academic collection are shelved according to the Library of Congress Classification scheme.  Fiction, literature, literary criticism, grammar, linguistics, etc. are in the P classification and located on the third floor.  Since AU owns over 1,000,000 books, use the WRLC catalog to locate the call number of the books you want to read.

When searching for a book title in the WRLC catalog, be sure to drop the initial article (The, A, Le, Los, Der, etc.)

For example, to find The Great Gatsby, just type Great Gatsby.

For assistance locating a book, The Reference Desk on the first floor is a great resource or Ask-A-Librarian.
