Answer

Unfortunately, the American University Library does not have access to PACER, the database of US federal court dockets.
PACER can be found at AU's Washington College of Law (WCL), Pence Law Library, located at, 4300 Nebraska Ave NW, first & second floor.  Mediated searching of PACER is done by librarians at WCL and requires information relating to a particular court case, such as the docket number or the case name. Contact the reference librarians at reflib@wcl.american.edu, call the law library at 202-274-4352 or 202-274-4000 or stop by the Pence Law Library Reference Desk for assistance. Non-mediated searchable alternatives for federal docket information include LexisNexis, Westlaw and Bloomberg Law.

The University Library has access to LexisNexis Academic which has some information about court cases.  From the library's homepage under RESEARCH > Search Databases > L > LexisNexis.
