Current AU students, faculty and staff can access AU electronic books from both on and off campus. For more information about eBooks, take a look at our Subject Guide.

First, locate the book in the library catalog by searching for the title in quotation marks. If you would like to browse our eBook collection, click here.  Once you've found a book you want to access, open the catalog record and select "Click here to access the electronic text."  From off campus, you will be prompted to login with your AU credentials.

Due to site license restrictions, we do not have access to electronic books owned by other Washington Research Libraries Consortium (WRLC) universities, even though the books are listed in the library catalog.

AU subscribes to electronic books from various vendors, so the interface and capabilities vary by publisher. E-books will work on most tablets. Electronic books generally cannot be downloaded to a Kindle, Nook or other proprietary e-book reader.  We hope this will capability will be available in the future.
