Academic libraries do not routinely purchase all textbooks.
AU Library's goal is to purchase the most expensive texts, and most books required for Gen Ed classes. In order to give all students the opportunity to use the texts, the books are placed on short-term loan at the Circulation and Course Reserves Desk on the first floor.
Consult the Reserves staff for details.
For classes other than Gen Ed, your professor may have placed the texts on Reserve. Search Course Reserves in the library catalog.
Some textbooks are available to borrow from the regular library stacks. Check the library catalog for availability.
