Fine amounts vary based on the items borrowed. For regular stacks books, fines are $0.25/day with a maximum of $10. Items on three hour course reserves accrue fines at a rate of $0.05/minute or $3/hour with a maximum of $25. Items on one day reserves have fines of $1/day. Most media items accrue fines at a rate of $4/day with a maximum of $25.

Payments of fines and fees may be made at the Circulation & Course Reserves Desk on the main floor. Credit (Visa, MasterCard, American Express) and EagleBucks are accepted. Credit card payments are also accepted by phone at (202) 885-3221.

Consortium fines are handled by each individual institution and will need to be contacted independently.
