Q. How do I access the Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU) ?

Access the various EIU databases AU subscribes to by selecting SEARCH DATABASES under RESEARCH ASSISTANCE on the library homepage. From there, either select E to browse or use the search box and enter EIU. 

  • EIU CityData: Covers cost-of living prices of products and services in 123 cities worldwide. Performs data analysis and converts currency.
  • EIU Country Commerce: A guide to the specific operating conditions, commercial laws and business regulations in more than 55 countries. It offers guidance on issues such as obtaining proper permits and registrations, protecting intellectual property, and complying with local tax laws, including e-commerce rules.
  • EIU Country Reports: Country political and economic analysis and forecasts from the Economist Intelligence Unit.
  • EIU World Investment Services: Provides investment reports and time-series on Business Costs, FDI and Industrial Output for 60 countries.
