The library offers two platforms for researching special digital collections and archives.

1) DIGITAL COLLECTIONS

Archives & Special Collections Digital Collections

For any questions or issues regarding Digital Collections, please contact Archives and Special Collections:

2) AU RESEARCH ARCHIVE (AURA)

The AU Research Archive (AURA) is the digital repository for institutional research outputs for American University’s faculty, staff, and other knowledge creators. The AU Research Archive preserves and makes a variety of research outputs openly available, including working papers, preprints, manuscripts, datasets, theses & dissertations, and more.

Faculty can self-deposit research using the Library's provided instructions and online form.
