Q. Which is the best citation management software program?

Each free citation software program has its advantages and disadvantages.  Our Citation Style Guide may be useful in helping you determine which to use, particularly the "Which Citation Management Program Should I Choose" section.

For the most part, the AU library recommends that undergrads use Zotero. Graduate students and faculty with more specialized research needs may consult with the Library Citation Management Team to determine which might be the best fit.
