The best place to start is the Subject Guide for Statistics.  Go to the library's homepage. Scroll down to RESEARCH ASSISTANCE and select Subject Guides > Statistical Information > Statistical Information

Click on the blue "International by Subject" tab.  Along the left of the page you will see various subject headings.  I recommend looking at these 2 subjects:

  • Armed Conflicts and Security
  • Military and Arms

Also, take a look at these specialized databases:

  • Military & Government Collection
Providing current news pertaining to all branches of the military, this database covers about 400 titles, with the full text of nearly 300 journals and periodicals and 245 pamphlets. Includes CountryWatch's Country Review.
  • Peace Research Abstracts
Indexes and abstracts journal and magazine articles, books, chapters, conference papers, and government publications on peace and conflict studies.
