If you go to the library's homepage under RESEARCH and click on FIND JOURNALS, type New York Times in the search box and hit enter. Scroll down to the entry for New York Times Online (ProQuest Central) Click on the link and it will take you to the articles that appeared in the online version. The ProQuest version doesn't look like the NYTimes.com that individuals subscribe to. Unfortunately, the NYT doesn't offer that to libraries.

Another option: The New York Times offers a discount subscription to university faculty, staff and students. It requires using your AU email address. Take a look at NYTimes.com/collegesavings  In 2016 the cost was $1 per week for students.
