Highlights of the Virtual Application system:

  • The new system provides remote access to software that is not installed on your local computer.
  • Access is provided to University-licensed software on a per-application basis, rather than a full virtual Windows desktop like the old system.
  • These applications will run on any operating system (Windows, OS-X, Linux, Android, iOS, etc.).
  • The system is cloud-hosted, simplifying management and reducing required resources.
