The library provides Academic Pass accounts to NYTimes.com.

To register for your account

  • visit the account registration page
  • follow the instructions to complete registration using your AU email adress
  • If you have an existing paid NYT subscription, you must cancel it before linking your account to the library's subscription by contacting Customer Care by email at customercare@nytimes.com, calling 800-591-9233, or chat.

Once you have registered, visit nytimes.com, click the blue Log In button, and sign in to your account.

The Academic Pass provides digital access to the New York Times, including unlimited access to archived articles published from 1981 to present.
Each day you can access up to 5 complementary articles published between the years 1923 through 1980.
Academic Passes do not include e-reader editions, NYT Cooking, or New York Times Games content.
You can access NYTimes.com from any computer or device.
iOS and Android apps are available, but note that NYTimes apps are not supported on all devices.
