If the catalog says "Available at American University Library, Library Stacks", a call number will be provided which you will want to have with you. Use this call number to find the book in the "stacks" (books shelving in the library) and retrieve the book for review or borrowing.  This library map indicates where in the library the book can be found.

For example, using you call number PR408.R34 N57 2003, the map indicates that PR is in the section of the stacks on the third floor towards the rear of the library.  Once there, you will use each section of the call number to find the precise location:

PR408
R34
N57

2003 is the year of publication. If there are multiple editions, they are typically shelved together but years will differ.
